Worming and Composting - Bush Kidz Child Care Centre Brassall Program

As part of our regular educational programs, each day, the children collect scraps within their rooms from lunch and cooking classes.

These scraps are then used to feed to the worms and to also place on the compost heap.

This allows children to explore the environment while learning about sustainability. Through this activity, children learn about what worms need to survive while exploring a new eco-system and the world of the worms.

Composting and Gardening

We’re excited to offer our worming and composting educational programs as part of our wider gardening and garden care program. When children are engaged with composting and worm farming, they learn about how gardening works, and how the food scraps they have from lunches can be used to grow new, nutritious foods.
